About Industrial Machine Service Memphis
Sometimes you know what you want to do from a very early age. It is what makes you happiest, proudest, and most comfortable. And here at IMS, our president, Anthony Davison, followed his passion and heeded his calling.
Our Origins
Anthony has always been mechanically inclined, with a knack for all things mechanical. Even as a child, he would frequently disassemble, repair, and reassemble all sorts of mechanical things. In addition, Anthony’s grandfather inspired and influenced him. Furthermore, he also got his inspiration from a mentor who also worked on industrial machinery. His passion is servicing industrial machinery. His calling is to fully serve the Memphis industrial manufacturing sector.
As a result, Anthony got into the industrial machinery servicing business. And before he founded IMS, he worked for a company which sold and installed industrial machinery. However, they did not provide ongoing service and support for the machinery that they installed. It was from this disconnect that Anthony got a brilliant idea. He saw a need for a company that would provide long-term support for industrial machinery, so he started IMS with his step-brother, Randy Coleman, in his step-sister’s garage. From such humble yet inspired beginnings, that is how Industrial Machine Service Memphis was born.
We Do It All
Industrial Machine Service was founded on June 20, 1994 for the sole purpose of providing on-site service, support, repair and replacement for pneumatic and hydraulic systems. In November of 2010, we acquired DBH Distributors, Inc., which was a pneumatic and hydraulic components distribution company. The addition allowed us to expand and offer greater value. And we are an Authorized Sales and Service Center for Wyco Tool Company, Lillbacka Finn Power Crimpers and SPX- Power Team. And from here in Memphis, we service customers all the way from Florida to California.
